Accountants Gone Wild – UNCENSORED Spring Break Edition

PAAAAAAAAAARTY!  September 17! – All those long hours paid off and the first draft of the tax return was e-filed on time.  Nothing smells better in fall than ink soaking into the 8453-C…except the sun tan lotion and the cool libation that will soon run through your veins in celebration.  September 17 - an unspoken national holiday – gives accountants full reign to relive the wildest days from their senior year spring break.  Unfortunately, for some of us, Cancun turned into the pub down the street and now to randomly lose articles of clothing results in five minutes of fame on the World Wide Web.

September 17 marks not just a celebration of past accomplishments, but also the commencement of future professional and personal pursuits.  For example, new employment will be sought after for your inebriated coworker, busy season widows/widowers will be reunited with their significant others, and new workplace romances – some of which will spark future marriages – will be stumbled upon.  Above all; however, you have a sliver of time back in your otherwise hectic workday.

The utilization of that precious time can define how the rest of the 2012 and 2013 year progresses.  It’s time to digest the happenings of the past and identify crucial areas of process improvements, such that the year-end provision will be as joyous as butterflies, rainbows, and lollipops.

Here at CCH we have a team of process improvement experts at the ready to help you.  Our keen ear for understanding tax departments’ needs and addressing them with the right solutions will help your lean tax department run smoother and more efficient.

Let CCH help you prolong your spring break – tune in for a complimentary process improvement webinar titled “The Power of Process:  Leveraging Tax Basis Balance Sheets in Tax Provisions,” on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm EDT.  We will be giving away an E-reader to one lucky participant, so be sure to register now before all slots are taken!  Please register today to attend.

  1. Once again, sucked in by a tantalizing title…only to be let down that the story was truly about taxes…nicely written bait and swtich!
